BEHOLD TEH GUTS.

Gutsman's sprites from Mega Remastered. I should have put these up a long time ago.

Count this as criticism, but in this sprite Gutsman's design looks a bit too, errr, simple.

Not sure that made any sense.

@Master_72:
Basically most Gutsman did was stand still and lift things.
So that's most of the sprites.

Reply Master_72, October 16th, 2013, 2:45 pm

I don't mean the sprites, I mean his look. It feels simple, especially if you compare it to the artwork or the original sprite.

Useless criticism aside, was the car and the truck made from scratch?

@Master_72:
No, they're edits from the first Megaman X.

@Master_72:
Well.

Gutsman -is- a very simple looking robot.

Besides that last pose in the first row, these look pretty cool.

The face looks a touch derpy.

Isn't this comic long overdue for a comic profile description update?

Introducing the comic with a lot of (standard) rules and threats of punishment really doesn't make such a good first impression.

Not to mention the strongly emphasised rule not to post things that aren't yours is rather awkward, seeing how these sheets are littered with official Mega Man sprites and edits of those sprites, as well as each others sprites.

Strictly speaking, what you're doing is illegal anyway. I don't see why stealing someone's art that had stolen art in it in the first place would need such an exceptional descriptive treatment in the comic profile text.

Furthermore, comic authors seem to be the primary audience for this text, when it should be a text to inform new readers of the comic's content.

@The_mad_one: Yes.

This.

He has a point.

@baryltdf: I guess my point creeped a bit towards that specific rule, you can ignore that bit if you disagree.

My main issue with the profile text is that it is mostly a series of threats towards the authors, and it barely tells new readers anything about the comic.

Topped off with the occasional ALLCAPS, it just doesn't seem like an appealing bit of text to display at the top of every single page and the comic profile.
